New History of Design Course Starting Now!
Growing your knowledge of design history can
greatly enhance your appreciation of architecture and interiors.
Whether you work in a design-related industry or just have an interest
in architecture and design, this course may be for you. Led by Gaye
Adsett, Dip.ID of Equilibrium Interiors, the course runs for 9 weeks
(commencing 2 February) on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9pm at the James
Dunlop Textiles showroom in Mt. Eden. The course costs just $395
including GST and includes supper provided at each session.
This course will grow your understanding of key styles and the
historical development of architecture and interiors from ancient times
through to the 20th Century. Learn about the major contributors; their
buildings, interiors and design style. The course content covers
Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, The Roman Empire, Early Christian and
Byzantine, Romanesque, Gothic, The Renaissance, Palladian, Baroque,
Neoclassical, Victorian, Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau, Bauhaus,
Modernist, Art Deco, 20th Century and more.
