Just opened in the historic Foundation Design Centre in Newmarket, Antipodes Design Store passionately advocates local design.
Created by Rod Hanna, the Antipodes Design Store caters to the discerning homemaker seeking exquisite furniture and design pieces with a distinctive New Zealand flavour.
Furniture like the Awaroa chair (pictured) designed by Noho Design is inspired by our background, lifestyle and country. 'Furniture designed by the likes of Noho Design is a demonstration of the emergence of sophisticated local design blended with exceptional craftsmanship. A distinctive New Zealand design is evolving - it has a natural rawness, influenced by our country and lifestyle, is uncomplicated yet at the same time sophisticated' says Rod Hanna.
The Antipodes Design Store fervently promotes the work of a range of local designers including Jeremy Cole, Echo design and Ambrose Ceramics.
Antipodes Design Store is located at The Foundation, 8 George St, Newmarket. Open Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm and Saturday 10am to 5pm. There is plenty of parking and you can enjoy a coffee at Go Coffee Go or visit the other design stores at The Foundation.
